Our main objective at Seigido Ryu is self-defense. Students of Seigido Ryu will become well rounded in both skill and knowledge, being able to adapt effectively to many different situations. Kyoshi DeAngelo trained in a number of different Martial Arts styles which naturally had an influence in the development of Seigido Ryu.

Seigido Ryu is a unique blend of traditional Karate with a kick-boxing influence and traditional Ju-Jitsu with an Aikido influence. Both Seigido Ryu Karate and Ju-Jitsu are easily interchangeable. In defending oneself the student can instantly change or blend their skills to adapt to their situation.
