From Kyoshi's Desk Statement of Faith Instructors on Staff Our Black Belts

We are a ministry that supports the local Church in discipleship and outreach. Our main focus concerning God's Word is to know it and apply it to our lives. We do not get into specific church doctrines, or emphasize one denomination over another, or try to influence people to attend one church over another. Our statement of faith reflects the parameters in which we minister and is as follows:

God
We believe ...
1. There is only one True, Living and Holy God, the Creator and Sovereign Ruler of the universe and everything in it. (Genesis 1:1-2:22; Colossians 1:16-17)
2. In the unity of the triune Godhead as God the Fater, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, three distinct personalities, yet one God. (2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19)
3. God the Son is Jesus the Christ, being fully God and fully man, who is the Savior for all mankind. Born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, He being God in the form of man among men, and willingly He died on the cross as a sacrificial lamb, unblemished by sin. He was buried and rose from the grave on the third day. (2 Timothy 1:10; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 1:11; 1 John 4:14; Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23,25; Luke 1:26-35; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 1:14; Matthew 20:28)
4. God the Holy Spirit is the manifest presence of the deity. He is with a person for conviction of sin and indwells the believer upon salvation and then through His power, man is able to be regenerated from within. (John 16:8; Acts 2:38; Romans 8:1-16)

The Scriptures
We believe ...
1. The bible is the Word of God from Genesis 1:1 to the end of Revelation 22:21.
2. In the plenary verbal inspiration of the entire bible, in its accuracy, validity, and that it's without error. (2 Timothy 3:16)
3. God, who has created all things and is Sovereign Ruler over all things, is able to keep His written Word as He wants it, even through imperfect men. (2 Peter 2:21)

Salvation
We believe ...
1. All mankind is born into sin. There is nothing that man can do within himself to be right with God, because of his sin nature. And sin brings spiritual death and eternal separation from God. (John 3:3-6, 18; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23; James 1:14-15)
2. Because man in himself cannot be right with God regardless of his works or deeds, he needs God's intervention. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-10)
3. God sent his Son, Jesus, to die a substitutionary death for all mankind. (Hebrews 10:1-18)
4. Man must recognize that he's a sinner and needs God's intervention. (Hebrews 11:6; Acts 16:29-30), and decide to turn (repent) from his sin and accept Jesus in faith as his Lord and Savior. Also, acknowledging the substitutionary work of Jesus, then receives forgiveness of sin and thus stands justified before God the Father. (Luke 13:3; Acts 26:20; Romans 5:8-10, 10:9; Ephesians 2:8)
5. This gift of Salvation is given freely, solely by God's grace, not of any works or action on the part of mankind, and this is the only way a person can be right with God. (Romans 5:1-2, 6:23; John 3:3-8, 36)

"Not by might, nor by power,
but by My Spirit says the Lord of Hosts."
Zechariah 4:6
